Lynn Barnes - Clinical Director

Lynn graduated with a Nursing degree in 1997 from De Montfort University. Her main professional interest was in PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care) where she worked for twelve years after graduation. In this most challenging of settings, due to the high risk nature of the patients, she developed an interest in co-morbid diagnoses and underwent training for a year in illicit drug use and its effects on major mental illness. Lynn also trained in advanced life support and was the lead resuscitation nurse in her unit.

Following a career break to take care of her daughter, Lynn worked in the Leicestershire Partnership Trust; after twenty two years in the NHS, she moved into the private sector and is currently the Clinical Lead of Primary Care in a locked rehabilitation unit. She cares passionately about caring for patients with respect and dignity and is excited to be involved with a new business seeking to extend this care beyond a hospital setting into the community.
